New CBTT updates going through

A few minor-ish updates have gone through for CBTT this week.

The first one is a fix to let CBTT compile on GCC 4.4.0 and up. This is available via subversion updates.

The second one, which is not yet in subversion, is a fix to allow CBTT to function properly on 64-bit computers. This fix is currently available here and will be committed to subversion once GCC 4.4 compatibility, user account functionality and 32-bit compatibility have been verified.

These updates are being pushed to systems I manage over the span of this week.

Downtime reports

Recent downtimes were caused by thunderstorm issues at the primary server’s hosting location and a major hardware failure at the ISP.

Usual story regarding those of you who want this prevented in the future. It would cost over $200/month to pay for it and I don’t have that kind of money to dump into this. Donate.

Downtime Over. Hurricane has past.

Hurricane Earl has now long since past the area. Power was out between approximately 1230 and 1930 local time on Saturday.

With our systems preemptively disconnected from all utility access, no damage was suffered and downtime was kept to a minimum.

Usual story though, we would rather have the funding to be able to not have such downtime.

Weather induced downtime – Expected on September 4th.

Due to Hurricane Earl being in the area, there will likely be extended downtime of the primary server for most of September 4th, and possibly longer if there is a power outage in the area.

Don’t expect to be able to contact me during this time either.

To all of those trying to get my WoW account by scam e-mail

Just give up, I have an authenticator, AND I know all your e-mails are fake because you either use outlook express to send them or you make some other GLARING mistakes about my account in the message.

Seriously, you won’t catch me not paying attention so stop wasting your time and mine.
